That’s the point.  Everyone knows how talented and beautiful and smart she is and how many good movies she was in… BUT WHO KNEW ABOUT HER BODY!?

I stopped buying GQ for a plethora of reasons. Headlines like that being one of them. 

Yeah she’s a talented and successful human being but let’s reduce and objectify her, how original!

I did. I knew. Because she fucks good in all her movies.

I’m not mad that the headline is sensational or objectifies Michelle Williams even if the same is done in the photo shoots she agrees to be in… I’m mad that it’s inaccurate and absurd for someone to never have seen her “body” before this spread. I get it… GQ’s reader, the classy heterosexual, is a stranger to the high art of Wendy and Lucy and the whole chick flickiness of My Week With Marilyn, so a headline like this becomes necessary for said hetero to generate a selective attention for one miss Williams… but really to have not at least imagined her naked with a body that barely compares to this photoshopped collection is unheard of.
